I didn’t realize how simple making a Roast Prime Rib was until I gave it a try. Simple recipe found online, simple ingredients! now, despite the simplicity of the steps, I managed to FAIL on the Au Jus, so I won’t post HOW-TO on that. search on your own!

Here’s a post about my simple method of making a Roast Prime Ribs. No real measurements required.. :)

step 1: go to local supermarket and get a

beef rib roast, stick of butter, kosher salt, course-ground black pepper

Let the beef sit on the counter for it to completely thaw if it was frozen or been in a fridge.
Melt the butter and chill it a bit. Brush the butter all over the beef, then kosher salt, and sprinkle black pepper all over.

Preheat the oven at 450* F

Step 2: Once preheat is complete, pop the beef into the oven for 20 minutes! keep the temperature at 450! this will make the outer part more crispy!

after 20 minutes of 450*, drop the temperature to 325*.

Check every 15 minutes and poke with cooking thermometer to check the temperature in the middle. (mine was about 3.5 lbs, waited about 45-50 minutes) go by the info below

Rare: remove at 110 degrees F. (final temp about 120)

Medium-Rare: remove at 120 degrees F. (final temp about 130)

Medium: remove at 130 degrees F. (final temp about 140)

Once it hits the desired temperature, pull it out..

Step 3: Let it be!

let the beef rest. If you went into some crazy as sauna and came out after an hour, and someone try to cut you, would you be happy!? haha~

seriously, let it chill.. make a tent out of a foil or something to keep the moisture in..

This is now good time to make your Au Jus! but you’ll find that else where…

Step 4: grub!

not bad for first time eh?
