Louis M. Martini: - Cabernet Sauvignon

His passion was Cabernet Sauvignon and he planted his vineyards to reflect this passion - acquiring top Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in the Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Today his grandson, third generation winemaker Michael Martini, continues to craft rich, complex and beautifully structured wines. This Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon showcases fresh, ripe flavors of black berry, currant and spice. It pairs well with beef, lamb, pasta marinara and rich cheeses....
Review: Very light to the touch, it's not a strong Cabernet at all. It has more fruit flavor to give an ease experience of Cab. I would not get this bottle again. There was other bottle of Louis M. Martini that was much better. it's easy to enjoy yet not good enough to savor... Drink up you cheap bastard! :)
Beringer: - Cabernet Sauvignon
[2005 - Knights Valley ] - : $18
Description: Seventeen miles north of the historic Beringer winery lies Knights Valley. Not much changes here. No town. No spa. No famous restaurants. Just vineyards rooted in shallow, alluvial soils full of volcanic rock that give the wines grown here as much distinctive character as the valley itself....
Review: It's hard to say it has much standard Cabernet quality. It's rather mild and subtle to be called a Cabernet. It resembles rather Pinot Noir quality of smooth and easy red wine. I'd expected little more spice, stronger and distinctive flavor. It brings quiet sense of balance that's unique in its own way. Not a big fan on Cabernet Sauvignon? This should ease you in. For me, it needs more kick.

Review: it may seem bit pricey at first, but it's definitely worth the price. Just make sure you get it from Costco or something to keep your price low! if restaurant is holding this, they will easily charge you well over $100. it's very gentle in all aspects. I loved enjoying this with simple Rib-eye steak rare. (of course it has to be rare). Jho can back me up on this! :)

Review: it's probably bias to review wine when i'm already having a good buzz off of it. But this is a good solid Cab. Dry texture in the beginning and never leave a bad after taste. Dry at the beginning of the taste and follows through with slight fruit taste and spice. It's a well balanced wine for it's price. I mean, you get what you pay for and.. this Franciscan never fails. it's good solid wine. Start up your grill and slap a good rib-eye, just bit of kosher salt and fresh ground pepper. nothing more and enjoy it.

Review: If you've been drinking regular milk whole time and tried Soy milk first time, you know this feeling. I cannot say Robert Mondavi Cabernet is the greatest. But it sure brings out new "breed" of cabernet than other cabs I had. Strong and full of flaver. Just enough of spice to say "ah~ this is good!" and just dry enough to make your mouth chap wanting another taste. Unfortunately, I didn't get to enjoy this eccentric wine with a nice portion of steak, but i sure would hold on to a bottle to enjoy with it at my convenience.

Review: If you say "Cabernet Sauvignon Pine Ridge Rutherford" in any combination, I will turn my head and I will say WHERE! It's like having a good car. Not an excellent car. something affordable and can be wreckless without worring about the price. It's not too crazy where you want to savor it as much as possible. It's like "birthdays". It's once a year, but it's still exciting when time comes around. this would be my favorite. hands down!
